” She had no fear. People who die more than once aren’t afraid anymore. In the statistics of war, she was among the fortunate ones. The Nazis didn’t kill her, they just took her life.”

An excerpt from the page turning book Memories After My Death by Yair Lapid about his dad, the famous Israeli journalist and politician, Joseph Tommy Lapid. A man who was as loved as he was hated. A Holocaust survivor (ain’t we all in a way?) which helped in building a country and shaping its culture while keeping true to his often in-your-face idiosyncrasies. A fun (it really is funny) yet insightful read.

“Lord Boothby… once told me. In 1931 I visited the Führer in Munich. When I stepped inside his office he jumped up, raised his right arm in the Nazi salute and shouted ‘Heil Hitler!’ I had no choice, I jumped up myself , raised my right arm and shouted, ‘Heil Boothby!’”

- These are my translations directly from the Hebrew version. The translated book may (certainly) have these translated differently.

So many times I heard students asking for a DESIGN THEORY course for Industrial Designers. While that may be a good idea for the program to have, there is no reason not to venture out and learn from other sources. THINKING: OBJECTS by Tim Parsons is probably the most readable, comprehensive, and clever book on the subject I had ever laid my brains on. Highly recommended!
